Despite his repeated clarifications, some fans have fallen victim to these schemes.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Somizi expressed his frustration, stating that he no longer feels sympathy for those who get scammed.

“They keep scamming you using my name because you love easy money. I don’t feel sorry for you anymore. I keep saying I’ll never — and I mean NEVER — borrow or ask for money from anyone. I only have verified accounts across all social media platforms. Anizwa,” he wrote.
