The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are scheduled to return to the United Kingdom next month for their first family visit in four years, British media reports.
According to reports by the BBC, the couple will be accompanied by their two children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five.
Prince Harry and Meghan relocated to California in 2020 after stepping back from official royal duties. In televised interviews and a memoir, the couple cited intense media intrusion, institutional challenges, and a desire for financial independence as reasons for their relocation.
While Prince Harry has made brief solo visits to the UK for major events, including the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 and King Charles III’s coronation in 2023, this upcoming trip has raised expectations of a potential reconciliation within the royal family.
It is currently unconfirmed whether King Charles III will meet with his grandchildren during the visit. The family last met in person during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
The visit is scheduled to coincide with an event marking one year until the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, an international sporting competition founded by Prince Harry. Reports indicate that official security arrangements have been assured for the family during their stay.
