The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has congratulated the governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, on his re-election.
It described the outcome as a clear reflection of the confidence and trust the people of the state reposed in him.
The chairman of the forum and governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, made the remark in a congratulatory message yesterday, where he noted that the election result demonstrated strong public endorsement of Oyebanji’s leadership and governance record.
According to him, the overwhelming mandate the governor secured at the polls was a testament to the goodwill he had earned through what he described as dedicated service and impactful administration during his first term.
AbdulRazaq said the re-election provides an opportunity for the Ekiti governor to further consolidate on existing reforms and expand policies aimed at improving livelihoods, strengthening institutions, and promoting inclusive development across the state.
He expressed confidence that Oyebanji would build on earlier achievements by deepening ongoing reforms and pursuing initiatives targeted at economic growth, prosperity, and improved welfare for citizens.
The NGF chairman also reaffirmed the Forum’s readiness to continue collaborating with the Ekiti State Government to advance subnational governance and support broader national development objectives.
“The Nigeria Governors’ Forum looks forward to your continued contributions to our collective efforts to strengthen subnational governance and advance our nation’s development aspirations,” he stated.
He wished the governor a successful and impactful second term in office as he continues to steer the affairs of Ekiti State.
